Organic has several connotations in the fertilizer business depending on the context in which it is used. To be absolutely clear with its clients, government authorities and the public, DCM Corporation uses organic alone to refer to organic matter of biotic origin that contains plant nutrients covalently bound to carbon, the basic building block of all life. Therefore, organic in this context does not mean certified for organic crop production, nor does it refer to synthetically produced carbon-bound plant nutrients.
Growing Innovation Inspired by Nature
DCM Corporation has built a vast knowledge and experience base of organic fertilizer formulation, production and application with over 30 years of observing nature, in-house research and development activities, independent field trials, and customer interactions. Based on this extensive know-how, DCM Corporation has meticulously selected over 50 high-quality biotic raw materials of plant and animal origins for producing its fertilizer formulas. The various ingredients in DCM fertilizers each contribute in their own unique ways as well as synergize with one another to influence optimum plant nutrition and promote comprehensive plant and soil health. Each raw material selected has its own specific nutrient release characteristics, naturally occurring trace elements, and attractiveness to soil microorganisms. Raw materials are dried but not composted to provide higher levels of organically bound nutrients in each product and stimulate microbially controlled release of nutrients in plant-available forms.
All biotic ingredients used in DCM fertilizers are derived from materials already deemed by government authorities to be fit for human consumption since most are selected from the processed food industry. Neither manures of any kind nor other risky waste materials are accepted by DCM Corporation. Furthermore, DCM Corporation’s select raw materials are sterilized before product formulation at 133°C (271.4°F) and 3 bar pressure for at least 20 minutes. Routine analyses assure the absence of undesirable chemical, biochemical, and microbiological components. Veterinary and phytosanitary certificates of finished products are available upon request.
